" BIG CHOP " --- Beauty in its Purest Form

What it is: The term " BIG CHOP" sounds like something straight out of a movie. It sounds terrifying and dreadful but it actually refers to when someone cuts the remaining permed ends of there hair and is left with just there natural hair/new growth. This process is usually done when transitioning from permed or chemically processed hair to natural hair. Its a big step and definitly requires alot of thought and preperation. Its the final choice where you decide its time to wear your natural hair out. It can be very emotional because its a new path for you. You may have many reservations about it. But theres so much to gain from this ! 

Doing your big chop may be very shocking at first. Esspecially if your use to long flowing hair. So its very important that you are ready to deal with the good and bad days. Big chopping is giving your hair a second chance at better health. With the right attitude and encouragement from others your big chop and natural hair journey will be such a huge sucess !

There is such a huge natural hair community now that the encouragement from others will be abundant. Youtube probably impacted me the most as far as going natural goes. Theres is such a huge loving natural hair family on youtube it is just heart warming to see other women asking the same questions and going through the same changes that you are with your hair.
